Experiential + Adventure therapy is a type of therapy that uses outdoor settings to help in the healing process. It is focused around self-efficacy, goal setting & follow through, character building and more. By using the outdoors we are externalizing the emotional journey of talk therapy, where you can look back and literally see the progress you make.

What is Experiential + Adventure Therapy?
How does Experiential + Adventure Therapy work?
Adventure Therapy puts you in an outdoor setting, and uses tasks and adventures as part of your recovery. It is meant to build your independence and self confidence through completing outdoors activities, such as gardening or hiking. In addition, it will help build your problem solving skills, get you out of your comfort zone, and overall help you grow as a person outside of your addiction.
How will Experiential + Adventure Therapy help with my addiction?
Experiential + Adventure Therapy helps our clients learn to listen, cooperate, build trust, develop emotional regulation skills, and build self-esteem as they push themselves to overcome challenging tasks. By teaching you these skills, though you may be outdoors, they can carry over to any part of your life. You’ll learn a new sense of self and emotional awareness that can help on your road to recovery. The lessons you learn on these adventures will translate into your everyday life, and even help you discover new passions.
